Franklin MacKenzie

Franklin MacKenzie is a patent attorney with Bejin Bieneman.

Frank earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University in December 2019. While studying there he focused his classes towards the fields of microprocessor technology and electro-optics. Frank’s capstone project was to develop a method for observing the growth of cultured diamonds for use in circuitry by means of laser measurements.

Having been exposed to intellectual property protection during his undergraduate studies, Frank decided to continue his education by studying to become a patent practitioner. He passed the patent bar in March 2023, graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in May 2023, and passed the Michigan Bar Exam in July 2023.

While studying at MSU law, Frank began clerking for Bejin Bieneman and gained experience in drafting and prosecuting patents in the automotive field. He now continues his career with the firm.
