John Carpenter is an intellectual property lawyer, specializing in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical and software arts. He is a registered patent attorney with more than 17 years of experience in patent preparation, prosecution, and IP litigation support.
Prior to joining the firm, John practiced patent prosecution in the Denver office of a leading international law firm. John provides clients with technical knowledge based on over 12 years of diverse mechanical engineering and project management experience in manufacturing and research and development environments. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in numerous areas including automotive technologies, medical devices, consumer products, sports equipment, industrial equipment, software, and soft goods, to name a few.
John earned his J.D. from University of Denver Sturm College of Law (2007). He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Regis University (1999). John earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University (1993). He is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
